Animal Husbandry Department:

The department of Animal Husbandry Veterinary Services started functioning independently from 1945. The department is playing a vital role in providing healthcare services to livestock, extension and training to farmers, implementation of socioeconomic programs, conducting Sample Survey and Animal Census programs periodically in the State.



Fisheries Department:

The Department of Fisheries was established in the year 1957 with an object to give fillip for production of fish by utilizing the rich resources in Marine and Inland sector. Karnataka has about 5.93 lakh ha of inland water resources, 8000 ha of brackish water and 320 km of coastline with 27,000 of continental shelf.
